Todd started with the Crux Wealth Advisor team in 2020. Not only did he join our team as a Financial Advisor, but he also played a pivotal role in helping expand Crux's footprint into the Boulder and Denver area by opening our first office in Colorado.
As an advisor, Todd's top goal for his clients is to live out the retirement that they dreamed of when they first started working with him. He understands that if his clients are going to be successful, he must develop personalized wealth strategies to guide them toward achieving their goals. He feels strongly that creating these strategies cannot be done without establishing meaningful and lasting relationships. Todd’s clients also appreciate his flexibility. He makes himself available to address client needs because he recognizes that life doesn't always only occur during regular business hours.
He especially enjoys educating his clients to better understand their investments and their purpose to the overall strategy. Todd's clients also value the honesty he brings to the relationship – no question is out of bounds. He feels that the more informed his clients are from the start, the more prepared they will be, resulting in an effective working relationship with a solid foundation of trust.
Todd's passion for his career starts with the impact he can make on his clients and their families. He derives a great deal of satisfaction by helping his clients retire well, put their children through college, among many other life goals, all with the end goal of removing the stress from the pursuit of achieving these objectives.
Before joining Crux, Todd gained extensive and valuable experience that he brings to our team. He began his career as a Financial Advisor with The Equitable in 1995 and then moved to Comerica Securities as a Vice President and Financial Advisor in 1997. In 1999, Todd pursued a new opportunity with Franklin Templeton as a Vice President and Wholesaler. He transitioned to Eaton Vance in 2004, located in Chicago, as Vice President and Regional Sales Director for twelve years. In 2016, Todd moved to Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor before starting with Crux. Todd felt that the move to Crux was in his client’s best interest and would benefit them exponentially, so they were better aligned to achieve their goals due to the elevated resources and support available to both advisors and clients.
Todd earned his Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University.
While I am originally from Charleston, South Carolina, I grew up in a military family, which provided the opportunity to live throughout the U.S. and abroad. My wife Vera and I have always dreamed of living in Colorado so when Vera received an incredible career opportunity in Boulder, we took the leap of faith and now call Colorado home. Taking advantage of what the beautiful state has to offer, we spend the majority of our time outdoors hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, or golfing in the summer. We enjoy the state so much, we are putting down roots and plan to live, raise our beautiful daughter Ivana, and ultimately retire here.
