Chris has been with Robert J. Ellis Financial Advisors, LLC, a legacy partner of Crux Wealth Advisors, since 1996. He joined our team as President and Financial Advisor at our Orchard Park, NY office in 2022. With 39 years in the financial services industry, Chris works to make sure clients truly understand their investment choices and collaborates with them to help find the most advantageous paths for their financial futures. He understands that many investors find financial jargon intimidating and makes it a point to dispel any confusion through straightforward, down-to-earth explanations. Chris wants clients to find him relatable and that they can rely on his diligent, full-service investment advice, which ranges from providing personalized investment guidance to reviewing their insurance policies. At the end of the day, Chris wants clients to feel confident that they can depend on his commitment to helping them with every matter that money touches.
Chris graduated summa cum laude from Alfred University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in marketing and finance. After graduating, he worked as an assistant trust officer and pension administrator at Liberty National Bank and Trust, later accepting a position as manager of financial services at Austin, Hardie, Wise Agency, Inc., where he stayed for 10 years. Chris then joined Robert J. Ellis Financial Advisors as a senior partner, a role he held for 22 years. Chris is now President of Robert J. Ellis Financial Advisors, LLC. Through his investment ideas, insurance knowledge and strong work ethic, Chris has been critical in growing the office to where it is today.
Chris embodies the spirit of civic duty and remains passionate about contributing to his community. He was a member of the Attica Volunteer Fire Department for 26 years, serving two years as treasurer. Chris also served on the Attica Youth Athletics Board and volunteered as a baseball coach. He is a past president of the Attica Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the Attica Lions Club, a former board member of the Wyoming County United Way and was a trustee to the Village of Attica for five years. Additionally, he proudly served as mayor of his hometown, Attica, New York, for two years. *
Chris and his wife, Betsy, have two sons, who they proudly raised in Attica: Aaron, married to Nichole, and Adam, married to Tricia. They also have three granddaughters, Aubrey, Chloe, and Blair.
