Ben joined the Crux Wealth Advisors team in 2023 at our Long Beach headquarters as the Operations Associate. With a deep-rooted passion for helping clients achieve their financial and personal goals, Ben plays a pivotal role in supporting Crux financial advisors with practice operations and client service.
As an Operations Associate, Ben's day-to-day responsibilities revolve around assisting in client meeting preparation, client follow-ups, client account management, and market research. As he works toward obtaining his FINRA licenses, including the SIE, Series 66, and Series 7, his focus remains on providing comprehensive support to financial advisors and delivering exceptional service to clients.
Ben's attraction to the field of wealth management stems from his innate desire to assist others in achieving their goals, both financial and personal. His internships have illuminated the fact that this profession goes beyond financial markets, emphasizing the significance of building client trust through genuine connections. While he is eager to expand his knowledge of holistic financial planning and investment strategies, Ben's genuine excitement lies in fostering enduring relationships with clients and colleagues, setting the stage for long-term success.
Before joining our team, Ben gained valuable experience and skills while interning at IFC Private Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors in Los Angeles, CA. During this time, Ben conducted extensive market research, monitored equity and bond market data using Excel and Bloomberg, and delivered impactful presentations at Investment Committee meetings. Prior to that, Ben interned with Kraneshares ETFs in Westport, CT. While there, he skillfully monitored the performance of equity holdings, researched Chinese fixed income markets, and assisted the firm's Chief Investment Officer with daily operational tasks.
Ben graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Economics and International Studies.
Outside of work, I find joy in pursuing various activities. Soccer is a passion of mine, and I take every opportunity to play or watch the game. Recently, I've delved into golf and spend a good amount of my free time on different courses throughout Los Angeles, striving to improve my skills. Sports play a significant role in my life; my two favorite teams are Manchester United Football Club and the Los Angeles Lakers. Their successes on the field and court have provided me with countless memorable moments that I have enjoyed with my friends and family.
Growing up in the South Bay, I have a deep appreciation for the beach and love spending time there with friends and my two furry companions. Brophy, my 10-year-old yellow lab, and Madison, my 5-year-old golden retriever.
Volunteering has always been important to me. I dedicated my time as a Conversational English Tutor for UW-Madison's Greater University Tutoring Services, helping students improve their language skills. Additionally, I have volunteered at summer camps organized by the Friendship Foundation and Momentum Pediatric Therapy Network, working with children with disabilities.
I believe that life is about finding a balance between work, personal pursuits, and giving back to the community. Through my passions, hobbies, and volunteer experiences, I strive to make a positive impact and enjoy every moment to the fullest.
