Carly joined the Crux Wealth Advisors team at our Long Beach headquarters in 2021 as a Financial Advisor. Within a year at Crux, she has taken the role of Director of Strategic Planning and Initiatives.
In her role, she leads project execution and the implementation of critical initiatives that ensure alignment with our strategic objectives and priorities. She not only leads, but guides the project teams, driving appropriate analyses, meeting project goals, managing timelines and working with leadership to successfully implement new processes, technology, or strategy.
The planning and collaborative process excites Carly, and it’s where she thrives. She enjoys working with our many groups and incorporating new technologies for maximized organization and efficiency. Carly also helps define and recommend priorities to our leadership team and makes long range planning recommendations.
She also leads the enhancement and development of our financial planning division to ensure each advisor has the tools and resources needed to provide clients with the optimal financial experience.
Before joining our team, Carly gained essential experience in various roles with LPL Financial. She began her career as a Financial Advisor with Madrid Retirement Advisors and was most recently a Financial Planning Services Coordinator with The Reserve Investments. Carly was inspired to pursue a career in financial services because she saw the need for a new generation of advisors in the industry with a valuable perspective on the evolving world of financial advising. She earned a Finance degree with a concentration in Personal Financial Planning from Southern New Hampshire University. She also graduated from the Leadership Hermosa Beach program and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
When I’m not at work, you can find me involved with a variety of activities. I like spending time with my cat, Ellie, reading books, especially by my favorite author, Malcolm Gladwell, cooking and learning new recipes, and playing guitar. I enjoy keeping physically active and often practice Pilates, and I love to explore the beauty of our national parks.
I feel fortunate to have many interests outside of the office, a great support system, along with a strong passion for my career. I credit my drive and determination to my upbringing. I grew up in a single-parent household in low-incoming housing, where my mom was largely able to support my younger brother and me through public assistance programs during my childhood and high school. I experienced first-hand the impact that financial stress can have on a family. Because of that, I feel that I have a unique perspective that inspires me to help others so others can avoid preventable hardship resulting from a lack of financial planning.
